We have been listening to: The bookers have been to see Beyonce and Harry Styles this month so we've had fun listening to their albums in the office.

We have been reading: Happy Place by Emily Henry.

LONDON CASTING DAY

Earlier this month, our fantastic team visited our vibrant London office. Our mission? To discover fresh-faced models and talented actors for our amazing divisions! We had a brilliant time getting to know all the incredible new talent and completing some portfolio updates along the way. Casting days are so much fun for our team because we put in a ton of effort to find the perfect match for our clients and divisions.

We'd like to welcome Daisy to Team SR as our Booking Assistant while she pursues her drama degree. We know Daisy well as she used to be represented by us as a junior model! She's settled in seamlessly, bringing wonderful energy and a fresh perspective to our team. Daisy's dedication and eagerness to learn has quickly made her an invaluable asset to SR and her friendly nature makes her a perfect fit for interacting with our clients and ensuring their booking needs are met efficiently. We're fortunate to have Daisy with us and look forward to witnessing her continued growth and success as she balances her academic pursuits with her contributions to our team. MEET MIMI...

We're thrilled to introduce another special new member of the SR family... Meet Mimi the Cavapoo! Junior Booker Poppy has started bringing Mimi to the office to help her feel at home with the team and embrace the wonderful #OfficeDogLife. Mimi has been having a blast getting along with all the SR office dogs and has settled in beautifully. Mimi loves a game of catch and she will find anything to play with. We also asked Poppy to name Mimi’s most favourite thing about the SR office, here is what she had to say…

EARTH DAY & MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK 2023 

During April we celebrated Earth Day by sharing some helpful tips on how everyone can reduce they're carbon footprint. Since June 2022, we have proudly collaborated with Ecologi to offset our carbon footprint and contribute to environmental initiatives. Throughout our partnership, we have successfully planted more than 1,700 trees and provided funding for 18 certified carbon avoidance projects. This collective effort has effectively prevented the emission of 75 tCO2e into the atmosphere. Notably, we have recently supported projects focused on distributing cleaner cookstoves in Kenya and advancing a wind power initiative in Thailand.

We have also recently introduced the TerraCycle system into our office, learn more about this on our blog post HERE.

Also in May, we observed Mental Health Awareness Week, a significant event for us where we aim to provide valuable insights to our talent and readers. This year's focus was on 'anxiety,' prompting us to collaborate and develop an informative blog post that offers various strategies for calming the mind. LONDON MARATHON

We'd like to give a special shoutout to our amazing models who participated in the London marathon in April. We are truly impressed by your dedication and hard work throughout the race. It was wonderful to see all the social media posts documenting your journey, and we wanted to share some ourselves to spread the joy!

SR Model & Actor Ramzan said: 

"My First London Marathon completed! Wow this journey has been insane and I can definitely say it has been physically and emotionally challenging. It’s beautiful to see the support and love that day... when you cross that finish line you feel alive! All of this of course was for charity World Vision UK, an organisation that supports and protects vulnerable children. A week before marathon I had covid and injured my knee but it really goes to show that you can overcome unexpected difficulties... Yes I did cry and was not holding back the tears. Thank you all for the love and support special shout out to all my people who have donated." - View Ramzan's video HERE.

SR Model Kalia Lai said:

"April was such a great month. I had a mixture of nerves and excitement on race morning. But I was so excited to run London again as there’s nothing quite like it. The race strategy was to do a negative split meaning to start the race slow and gradually increase pace... I was itching to run at a 5:30 pace and my body was feeling good on the day. After 5k, I increased to roughly 5:20 and at 10k ran with heart! For the majority of the race I felt really good and it all flew by. The rain didn’t really matter apart from the odd human traffic jam where the route got tight and the crowd was incredible despite the wet weather. Annoyingly I got cramp at 35km which slowed me down and I could have paced myself better for the last 10k but these things make the next race even more exciting. Special special thank you to everyone who supported me and donated towards Mind Charity... Can’t wait to get training again!" - View Kalia's video HERE.

In the past couple of months at SR, we've created numerous memorable moments. We celebrated the birthdays of Digital Assistant Amie and our beloved office pup Coco - you can find the exclusive behind-the-scenes video linked at the top of this blog post. Additionally, we thoroughly enjoyed sharing incredible behind-the-scenes images and videos from our talented models and actors (remember to tag us on socials!). Some highlights include a stunning wedding shoot for Richard Designs with new face model Aliki, an outstanding campaign for Sales Force X F1 featuring our talented actors, and some fabulous BTS shots for Amazon Fashion with Ezekiel, among others. The list goes on. In May, we also had a great time curating content for our socials, staying up-to-date with the latest trends.
