BOOK A MODEL, PLANT A TREE: 7,772 TREES FUNDED THROUGH OUR ECOLOGI PARTNERSHIP

In 2023, we introduced Book a Model, Plant a Tree in partnership with Ecologi as part of a broader commitment to building environmental responsibility into how we operate as an agency.

The idea was straightforward. Every confirmed booking through Sandra Reynolds funds tree planting and supports verified climate action projects. We didn’t want it to feel like a one-off campaign or a marketing add-on, so instead, we built it into how we operate day to day, so that we could make a consistent and positive impact.

OUR IMPACT TO DATE

After three years, our partnership with Ecologi has resulted in:

  • 7,772 trees funded
  • 547.45 tonnes of CO₂e avoided

These figures are independently verified through Ecologi’s Climate Action platform.

For perspective, 547.45 tonnes of CO₂e is roughly equivalent to:

  • Driving a standard petrol car for over two million miles.
  • Around 1,300 return flights between London and Paris.
  • The annual electricity consumption of more than 400 average UK homes.

The 7,772 trees funded form part of a global reforestation mix, including native tree planting projects as well as reforestation initiatives within the UK. These projects support biodiversity, ecosystem recovery and long-term carbon sequestration.

Tree planting alone is not a net-zero solution, but as part of a broader climate strategy, it contributes to long-term environmental restoration.

BEYOND TREE PLANTING

While tree funding is the most visible part of the initiative, the carbon avoidance element is equally significant.

Through Ecologi’s portfolio of verified projects, our contributions support initiatives such as reducing methane emissions from landfill sites in Brazil, wind power generation in Mexico, and the distribution of cleaner cooking stoves in Kenya.

Additional projects include peatland restoration and conservation in Indonesia and the conversion of local organic waste into electricity in India. Each of these initiatives addresses emissions at source, reduces reliance on fossil fuels, and supports community-level climate resilience.

By contributing across a diversified portfolio of reforestation and carbon avoidance projects, the impact is not limited to one region or single intervention; it reflects a broader approach to climate responsibility.

SUSTAINABILITY WITHIN THE MODELLING INDUSTRY

The modelling and acting industries operate within a production-led ecosystem. Travel, lighting, set construction, equipment transport and digital infrastructure all carry environmental impact. Agencies may not control every element of a campaign’s footprint, but we do sit at the centre of the process.

Our view is that responsibility starts internally. Alongside Book a Model, Plant a Tree, we continue to prioritise digital-first workflows, reduce office waste and energy use, and encourage local talent bookings where appropriate to minimise unnecessary travel. These measures are part of an ongoing review of our operations in line with wider net zero ambitions.

A STRUCTURAL COMMITMENT

The 7,772 trees funded to date are not the result of a one-off campaign, they represent the cumulative impact of everyday bookings across the agency.

As the business grows, the environmental contribution grows alongside it. That is intentional.

Sustainability within the creative industries requires structural integration rather than isolated initiatives. Embedding climate contribution into each confirmed booking is one example of how that responsibility can be operationalised in a practical, measurable way.

We will continue to update regularly as the figures increase.
