New Faces: December 2020

Before the year is out we wanted to introduce you to a few more of our new faces...
Sasha started modelling in the summer of 2019 and since then has worked with brands including Avon, Herbal Essence, Bupa Dental and True Form.
Alongside modelling, Sasha is a trained and practising makeup artist and loves musical theatre. She says her best advice for new models and actors is to “be yourself." She explains "it's difficult getting knocked back but you're more likely to be right for the client by being yourself from the very start”.
Chatting about jobs, she says her funniest moment modelling so far was “Having to get changed into tight gym clothing on the top of a multi-story car park with a blanket wrapped around me - the wind didn't help me out”!
Recently, Sasha has been making waves on Instagram with her campaign #FilterDrop. Encouraging women around the world to stop using filters on Instagram, “so many people have contacted me and told me their personal stories about how they think they look horrible and disgusting and everyone else looks so polished.”
Sasha has inspired thousands of women to abandon filters (which smooth the skin, alter facial features and hair colour) and post their bare faces online. She has had an incredible response with people messaging her with all kinds of thanks, saying of one woman “She mentioned that she no longer wakes up two hours before school to do her make-up. She still enjoys make-up but it’s for enjoyment rather than hiding and covering her face, which is just amazing.”

Originally posting her own, honest, unfiltered and beautiful photos, Sasha began to re-post people who had used #FilterDrop, which quickly gained attention from the media. “It’s just been insane. I’ve had 9 radio interviews, two television chats… it’s been non-stop”. Since then she has been featured in Vogue, on the BBC, Grazia and The Female Lead.
We are behind her all the way with this fantastic campaign and can’t wait to see what she gets up to in the future.
