Meet the actor: David Calderon

written by
Rhiannon Bond

Hello everyone, we hope spooky season is treating you well!

This month we wanted to introduce to you on of our actors - David Calderon.

David first got into acting and modelling around 13 years ago after finding himself an agent. Outside of his acting career David works in social media. We talk all things blogging, podcasting and Tik Tok - to get to know him a little better keep scrolling!

What is favourite job you’ve done?

“My favourite job was being in Avengers: Age of Ultron. I'm such a huge Marvel fan and even though it was for a background scene I did it because it was the main party scene that featured all the main Avengers!”

And the strangest experience you’ve had so far on a job?

“When I lived in LA I sent all my agents a Christmas card. Somehow my Christmas card got attached to another Christmas gift and my agent thought I had gotten that as a gift too. Long story short, it cultivated in what I thought was a catch-up but was actually a date until my agent realised that the gift wasn't from me.”

Oops!

What does a 'A Day In The Life Of' look like?

“6am walk up and then I hit the gym. I work from home so I usually get ready and begin working from 9am to 5pm.”

“I’m always creating content across my social channels. Whether it's creating content for the brands I collaborate with or making a podcast episode”

David has his own podcast ‘The Geeky Gentleman’ which he describes as ‘a combination of my interest of men's fashion/grooming with nerdy pop culture’. His blog driftingdudes.com is a ‘men's lifestyle Blog for the 21st century gentleman’ - we absolutely love his recent post 7 tips to increase self confidence!

What about in your spare time, what hobbies do you have?

“I like to play piano, sing, dance, so I have a lot of hobbies.”

“My favourite things whilst in lockdown is practicing all these TikTok dances. I don't mean the silly ones that everyone can do. There’s some very good choreography on there that requires talent and its fun to do and it's keeping me fit.”

And finally, three things you couldn’t live without?

“Chocolate, my phone, and love.”

We agree with you totally there David!
